Sustainability

Making Clothing That's Gentle on Skin — and the Planet

We started Petal Steps because we wanted better clothes for our kids. That means better for the people who make them, and better for the world they'll grow up in. Sustainability isn't a bolt-on for us — it's woven into every decision, from the cotton field to the package that arrives at your door.

We're not perfect, and we don't pretend to be. But we're committed to doing better with every season — choosing materials, processes, and partners that reflect the kind of future we want our kids to inherit.

How We Do It

Organic Cotton & Bamboo

Every fabric we use is grown without harmful pesticides. Our cotton is GOTS-certified organic, and our bamboo is sourced from sustainably managed farms — soft on skin, lighter on the earth.

Low-Impact Dyeing

We use AZO-free, low-impact dyes that require significantly less water than conventional processes. Our facilities recycle and reuse process water to minimize waste.

Minimal-Waste Packaging

From compostable mailers to reusable storage pouches, every piece of packaging is designed to be reused or recycled — no single-use plastic, no excess.

Responsible Manufacturing

We partner with factories that share our values — energy-efficient operations, fair wages, and verified compliance with international labour standards.

Our Commitment

We publish a transparency report every year detailing where our materials come from, how our factories operate, and what we're doing to reduce our footprint further. Because trust isn't built on slogans — it's built on evidence.

Better clothes start with better choices — at every step.
